I needed service on a Sundowner awning from snow damage. This company was the original installer of the unit. The service call and repair were not cheap, but the repair was finished in less than an hour and the guys were polite enough, but seemed to be in a hurry. Heres my issue- from the conversations I had leading up to the repair I was expecting the awning to be remounted and serviced using their description. To me service on a mechanical device means adjustments, minor repairs, cleaning, and so on. I attempted to talk with the lead installer about a couple of other minor problems I was having with the operation of the awning (not related to the snow damage) but he would only nod and talk with his partner. I assumed he heard and understood what I was describing but after bolting the awning back in place they sprayed a little WD40 in a couple places, retracted the awning and hit the road. Those other minor problems were not addressed. I suppose the $650 is a going rate for such things, but a company shouldnt inflate what they do by claiming things like well perform a complete service and cleaning while were there.... I feel a little cheated.
