The hotel itself is beautiful. After a very long day of travel I arrived at 3:00 a.m. absolutely exhausted and very eager to check in. My reservation was made and paid for by an employment agency who assured me everything was covered. My wallet had been stolen the day before so I did not have a credit card for incidentals, but I did have cash. The young man told me I could not check in wihout a card with a $50 available balance. I offered to pay cash. He said I must pay the $50 with a major credit card. I explained my situation and asked him to make an exception. I explained that I was preparing for an early morning interview and I desperately needed to get some rest. He said he would not make an exception for me because he would then have to do so for everyone else. He went on to express concern that I might vandalize the room. I asked him if he would contact a supervisor. He indicated this was not possible and said I would have to wait 4 hours for the manager to arrive at 7:00 a.m. He also said I could not wait in the lobby. So I went outside to wait in my car. Shortly thereafter the young man approached my vehicle and said he would call the police to report me for loitering if I didn't leave. This experience was so disheartening it bordered on being traumatic. I had to attend my job interview without having showered, without having been able to change my clothes, and without having slept. Not to mention the room was paid for in full but I was never permitted to check in Noteworthy details: As I mentioned , I was delighted by the hotel itself which was beautiful. The hotel apparently uses some kind of fragrance, and the lobby smelled absolutely wonderful! However I was profoundly disappointed and genuinely shocked by the blatant indifference of the young man on duty. After all, isn't it good business to be warm and hospitable when youre employed by a rather upscale hotel?

Mrs. Katy provided such wonderful service and was very helpful with anything that I needed! The location of the hotel was convenient to restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.
