As an ex-long term patient of Dr. Altman , Dr. Kwon has always been helpful and caring. Unfortunately patience get older and insurance changes, it has become totally irrelevant to Dr. Kwon as he only accepts Husky for children and not the elders, making it a non-family oriented practice.

When I originally found Dr. Kwon through a Cigna search, it said he was located in West Hartford. I called the office and their prompt listed a bunch of locations (none of which were in West Hartford). I left a message regardless. When the office called me back, they asked if they could put me on hold. After being on hold for five minutes, I hung up. They called me back and I scheduled an appointment. They explained that their office was in a confusing location (GPS would drop you in the wrong place) and that they would text me information that would help me find it. I never received a text. When they called to confirm my appointment, I called them back (no one answered the phone) and left a message asking if a different time was available as that was my 18-month old's lunch and nap time. I never heard back. After ALL of this, I still went to the appointment. I was struggling to find the office and called , again, no one answered. I ended up finding it and arrived exactly at 11a. I proceeded up a steep set of stairs to an open door with a children's waiting room. There were multiple women sitting at the desk (none of them were on the phone). I was handed paperwork I needed to fill out while trying to supervise my son who kept racing to the open door (which opens directly to the steep set of stairs). I mentioned that it would be helpful to provide the paperwork beforehand. A half hour after my appointment time and after chasing my extremely restless son around their office, I decided to leave. Frustrated does not even remotely describe my experience. Dr. Kwon has great ratings. Unfortunately, I can't speak to that because I never got to see him. For a pediatric dentist, this office doesn't seem be very kid-friendly nor respectful of a parent (or children's) schedule. I will not be rebooking nor would I recommend this office to parent's with young children.

Told me I had a cavity that needed a crown and they were putting it through with the insurance and they'd call me for my next appt. Never received a call and instead got a letter saying they were no longer accepting my insurance after ive been going here for years.
