Bright Horizons at Trumbull

Bright Horizons at Trumbull has been an awesome experience for my 2 year old toddler. It is sometimes not easy to leave your little angel in a new environment, but Bright Horizon provided excellent play and care. The staff was warm and very kind, they were able to put my mind at ease. My little angel loves the activities at Bright Horizons and it is wonderful to see her thrive and learn; and be so excited about painting, and artwork. I am very happy with Bright Horizons at Trumbull.

This is not a welcoming or accommodating place. I spoke with someone over the phone regarding an in-person tour. The person I spoke with double checked that we would be able to come in person for a visit. After that call I received multiple email and text reminders regarding our visit, as well as a list of directions for Covid compliance, one of which was that we could not bring our baby with us. This upset my husband but I was understanding that they were trying to be careful. It took us a few tries but we were eventually able to find childcare for the baby so both of us could go on the tour. We live about an hour from the daycare as we are relocating. When we arrived for the tour we rang the doorbell. It took a very long time for someone to come to the door. Once someone finally came over, she stood in the doorway and asked why we were there. I told her we had an appointment for a tour. She explained they were only doing virtual tours, but they would begin in-person tours the following week Mind you it was a Friday. I am not sure what would have been different from that Friday to Monday But they would not let us in. They said there mustve been some miscommunication and we could reschedule for the following week. I explained we drove over an hour to get there and we arranged for childcare, yet the woman did not seem to care. I told her we would not be rescheduling as clearly this is not a place for our child. We were disappointed in the lack of flexibility and lack of kindness that was shown to us that day. This has been a very stressful time for our family, in addition to all of the outside stressors going on in the world, and we are first time parents. I cried when I got in the car. Thankfully we found another daycare that was more than willing to accommodate us, and demonstrated flexibility and sensitivity, which are two key characteristics I want in a childcare facility.

The most professional and caring team! The BH Trumbull teachers make this place special. From our first consult to graduating to kindergarten, they have helped us every step of the way. Great communicators and team culture. Directors are generous and available for anything. Just the most positive environment for parents and kids.

I have been a part of Horizons at Trumbull for 15 years. I started my journey at the center as a teacher. Now, I am a parent of two boys and they both attend the center. I couldn't ask for a better group of teachers, all who care about my sons' social, emotional and educational growth. I know my boys are in great hands every day and that's a great feeling! Also, I love sharing with other families that both my boys attend the center and I get to work there as well!

My son has been going to Bright Horizons at Trumbull nearly every weekday for the last four months. He loves this place and got grew up little by little in this big warm family. The staff here are incredibly kind and helpful. The teachers are patient and teach things such as readings, numbers, etc. Everywhere here is very clean. That is why my son hasn't been sick for a very long time:).
