Kimpton Overland Hotel Atlanta Airport

What a wonderful hotel. My experience was first class. My flight was delayed and I would have missed my dinner reservation. Calling the hotel I talked with Makayla, who took charge and message new arrangements. On my arrival, Makayla checked me in with outstanding customer service and followed up to make sure my room was satisfactory. She represents the Kimpton brand brilliantly. I had a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant, Apron, where I was seated promptly and had a very capable server. The hotel is a great choice, especially if you are going to the Porsche Experience Center. Thank you Kimpton Overland.

Beautiful hotel, great view of the airport and Porsche experience. Rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant downstairs has some good options but is on the pricier side. The rooftop view is to die for. If youre a big aviation fanatic, youll enjoy your stay. The only downside is the shuttle in the morning is very j consistent. During my stay I would have to wait 30+ minutes for the shuttle and sometimes its ready. Shuttle service needs work.

After arriving to the airport, we contacted the front desk twice about their Free airport shuttle. Around 30 minutes later a black shuttle bus arrives at the airport. According to google maps, the drive to the hotel should have only taken 10 minutes, however our shuttle ride turned into a scary event for the entire family including our child. Our driver drove us away from the hotel and eventually pulled into a liquor store in the middle of the night around 1130 pm (See attached picture). We were so concerned that we began ordering an Uber before he got back on the shuttle bus. This experience was frightening. This hotel should not be allowed to use the name Kimpton. This hotel was nothing near any of the other Kimpton or IHG properties we have stayed at. We love IHG and have high elite status with the company however this experience has us questioning if we want to change our years of relationship with IHG to another brand unfortunately.
