My girlfriend and i took a weekend trip to Atlanta and stayed here from Thursday- Sunday. Hotel is beautiful and very clean . Want to let you know that Eric at the front desk was so kind , attentive and considerate - made us feel at home. You wont be disappointed , location is everything! Also please make sure you ask for Eddie and Adam in vallet. Because of these three workers my friend and i will always come back to this hotel, they went above and beyond to make our stay amazing . Very disappointing experience at this Curio property, despite being a gold member with Hilton. The 5 star reviews must be from people that dont get out much. Paid for the room rate that included breakfast. First morning - decent hot buffet. Second morning sparse. Third morning I was told to choose between continental offerings or I can have Two eggs your way. Then was provided with a bill to sign. Again I mentioned that my rate included breakfast. Was told dont worry about the amount, just write the room number and sign. Was this just a clever way to collect the auto-generated gratuity on the bill? I have no idea who runs breakfast service but they certainly struggle to provide good breakfast. Needless to say all those breakfast charges showed up on my bill. I had to stop by the lobby and dispute those charges. While settling my bill I overheard another patron complain about how disruptively loud housekeeping is. He used the word uncivilized. Awful internet. When I asked for help with it, I was provided with a phone number that had no menu option to speak with some one. No other solution was given. When I asked to possibly be moved to a different room, I was told all rooms have the same internet. How they can retain business travelers then is beyond my understanding. Water pressure in the shower and sink was very low. Restaurant / bar service / front desk staff - just give you the impression that nobody is really trying to make your stay here a memorable experience, they are just punching the clock. Overall noticeable difference for worse from when this place was a W Hotel. If they ever come up with a reality show hotel rescue, this hotel would be a great candidate to participate because it certainly has potential to shine. I assume that my disappointing stay at The Starling can only be explained by a ridiculously low minimum wage in Georgia. It is certainly not representative of the brand as a whole. Some of my most favorite properties are Hilton properties. This hotel however I would not recommend.

Rooms: Very stylishly decorated. The beds were comfortable enough. Surprisingly, no extra blankets were stashed anywhere in the room. You'd have to call for extra. The bathroom was not very luxurious for the price point. Nearby activities: It's Midtown Atlanta; there are tons of clubs and restaurants nearby. It isn't near many of the kid-friendly areas or other touristy hotspots, although it is somewhat close to the Center for Puppetry Arts and Vinyl/the Loft. It would be quite a walk to the Fox Theatre from here, as well.
