Sweet Sadie Sportfishing • Kona Fishing Charter

Sweet Sadie Sportfishing was the perfect charter for our purposes in Kona. Caught fish every day, but aside from that the crew handled themselves wonderfully every time we got a bite. Captain Mat and Kyle were consummate professionals in every aspect. This is a first class charter operation, we are already looking forward to booking them again. We booked three days and they went above and beyond to put us on the fish. The boat was extremely clean and comfortable, my wife usually gets seasick and had no trouble on Sweet Sadie. I cannot recommend this group enough.

This was a fantastic trip on 8/10/22. Kyle and Ryan were a great crew and made us feel comfortable the whole day. They went the extra mile to meet our expectations. Had a few run-offs and hooked into a nice size marlin and brought it to the boat then released, what an experience! As someone who has fished for many years on my own boat I would highly recommend fishing with them. Thanks for a great day!

The trip was Awesmome ....not only did my wife catch her 1st blue marlin she caught a 2nd one 15 min later. The boat was immaculate,the captain Matt was Great and Kyle was not only great in the cockpit he prepared our lunch like a chef would. If You are fortunate enough to book a trip in Kona. One less item on the bucket list after my trip with these guys. I'm sure there are ton of great boats in the area, but I can't see how they could be better than fishing with Matt and Kyle. Fishing had been slow for the fleet before my trip, and some of the locals suggested I should cancel. The guys confirmed that fishing was slow, but assured me we would get our shot. We fished most of the morning with no signs of life, but a little after noon we saw a boat near us hook up. I could tell Matt was aggravated that they had hooked up first, but we didn't have to wait long after that for our chance. A Marlin came up and started playing with one of the teasers. The crew instinctively knew what to do and yanked the teasers and pulled one of the trolling lures to where the fish was now actively looking for his meal. The fish ate, and 20 minutes later a dream had been accomplished and the Marlin was boat side. We only had the one bite, but the crew knew how to make it count.
