Alooooha Jake and thank you kindly for your review! We can understand how frustrated and disappointed you must feel upon hearing the home was rented and your showing canceled. Although we've never met or spoken, (as you scheduled your showing on our platform) you were not alone. Cancellation notifications went out the the other 9 applicants who were scheduled for today's showing. Our first showing was yesterday with over 20 people in attendance. The showing requests were so strong in fact that before the first showing we increased the rent from $2,990, to $3,590 a month! Even with the rent increase, after yesterday's showing we received four rental applications and processed and delivered to our DELIGHTED Owner a signed lease agreement. At AVATINA, we represent beautiful properties which in today's market are moving quickly. Owners love us because we work hard to market and deliver top quality tenants and we never cancel showings until we have a signed lease agreement in hand. In this case Jake, the cancellation applied to you. Had they not signed the lease, who knows, maybe you would have applied and gotten the unit. As for your assertion “They knew I was driving from over an hour away for the appointment.” we have no idea where an applicant is driving from as this info is collected when scheduling a showing.
