Sawtooth Hatchery - Idaho Fish and Game

Cool place to visit and learn about the salmon and how the spawn. Went during the off hours so it was not a lot to see during my visit. Seeing the fish in the pools was cool and seeing the salmon count records is an eye opener on how few salmon we still have in the river

Nice display and fun coloring book at the visitor center. Fun fishing pond for the kids. Bring your quarters to feed the fish.

I've been coming back to this place since in the 90's. Everything looks the same and it's always so interesting to visit this fish hatchery.

I'm a fishing newbie, but had a good time at the kid's pond! They stock fishing poles and worms from 8am-3pm. First come first serve!

With the Majestic saw tooth mountains looming in the distance and the sounds of life echoing from the winding salmon river you'll find open year round the Sawtooth fish hatchery and visitor center While eagerly exploring the hatchery you will find multiple raceways ..spawning pools and a massive egg incubation center. In June after the kids pond is stocked with ready to be caught hungry salmon and trout the Hatchery's "Kids Pond" comes to life with joyful anglers of all ages.
