Not quite sure who is actually raving about these guys... but we called to have them come out and look at a few of our bathrooms that need repairs/service.  They showed up... explained some stuff, said they had to order parts (which parts, no idea) and we've never heard from them again.  We call and call, and we have heard now (we'll over a month later) "we still haven't heard from the parts company, and when we do we'll let you know".  I mean... it's like impossible to find a decent plumber in River Forest.  Add landscapers to that list too.  We have a large lot and it's like we have to beg for service.  River Forest is really beginning to turn us off.  Do yourself a favor, avoid the "Gilchrist' plumbing companies all together... you call one and they all refer to the other.  Two stars just because they showed up the first time.

After calling and leaving a message regarding work needed, I received a garbled message from a blocked number telling me to call the office. The woman who answered thought that was funny, and would get back tome regarding a schedule. Nope, never heard back. I guess they either closed for good or don't need the business. Bates plumbing came the following day and did a GREAT job
