We have been privileged to have our youngest son attend school at Primrose! He has learned, grown, and shines better and brighter than before. It is easy to see the dedication of each staff member and teacher here! They love my kids just as much as they love their own. We couldnt ask for a better use of time, security, and peace of mind from Primrose. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for aiding in the upbringing of our kids! You are second to none!

Our family could not be happier with the welcome weve gotten from Primrose School of Wichita - West! We love that we get updates and photos throughout the day letting us know what our child is learning. The staff is very friendly and always willing to answer all our questions. We look forward to many more years with the school!

My wife and I had our 2 children, 2 year old & 3 year old, attend for a little over a year. Were not typically ones to leave a review but many parents have asked us to in hopes that it helps other parents make a good decision on where to send their children for childcare. The Teachers: Both our children had some outstanding teachers who seemed to really care and make us feel good leaving our kids to their care. Special call out to Miss Haught and Miss Funk for being amazing. The Management: Unfortunately we had a very poor experience. Ill focus this review primarily on my youngest who had developmental concerns where we met frequently with primrose, Miss Shirkey & Taylor M, to discuss ways to help him. He was not agressive or harmful toward other kids. He was just not communicating and developing like we wanted. Every meeting we had seemed to be encouraging and he was getting better. Primrose, Miss Shirley, suggested a weighted vest, chewing bracelets, and weighted blankets. We provided all of this at their request as any parent would to help thier kid. Meanwhile we had people coming into primrose from Rainbows and private speech to help him. We received feedback from our outside providers that primrose was not using any of the items that they recommended we purchase. When we confronted primrose they were defensive and stated that it was too much for the teachers to manage. Primrose then started to talk poorly on rainbows after we confronted them on what was relayed to us from rainbows. The whole situation was very unprofessional. We realized quickly that the management and teachers were never on the same page. We had better success just talking to the teachers directly. Once enrollment started primrose was very pushy on what the plans were going to be for our kids. When they heard we were going to reenroll them they pulled us into a room and told us that our youngest son will have his last day at primrose in 2 weeks. They told us that they are not equipped to support children with needs which was a complete blindside to us. We had no idea we could be kicked out of daycare. Taylor M specifically had zero emotion or care about how it effected us. When we asked her questions she would just reiterate after 2 weeks he needs to be gone. Something you would hear if you were being terminated from a job it. We ended up pulling both our kids out.. Conclusion: Primrose is a name brand for daycare and has great hours which is great if youre a working parent. However, +++Parents+++ if you have children who requires special attention/needs, primrose is not the place for them. Avoid this place. Primrose does not want kids who require extra work. Primrose is a higher priced daycare option. You are not getting the value you are paying for. I never realized this until I had another place to compare to. I feel things could improve with this site if they were to revamp thier Management staff and start being more transparent with parents.

My children have grown so much in the last few months since we moved them into Primrose. The teachers and staff genuinely care about them. Everyone speaks, greets, and is approachable. My kids very well might have a better diet at school than home! Very nutritional meals including snacks. They even give them a late afternoon snack so my kids don't come home fussy. Well thought out activities and learnings keep my children engaged and excited to learn. I can tell they make progress everyday. Thier vocabularies have expanded and they are learning to be more attentive and work through conflict. They are not on a tablet or watching movies like a past daycare. The amenities are far better than other daycares. I am neutral on the uniforms they need to wear during the school year, but it has not been an issue and my kids look cute in the uniforms. Would recommend anyone start their kids off here to get a great education. I wish I had started mine here from day 1!

I honestly don't know how this place had so many good reviews. I wanted to like this place SO BAD. It seemed so perfect. We went for 3 weeks. At parent orientation we were told the kindergarten teacher quit 2 weeks before school was to start. Upon hearing this news another parent burst out laughing with a big smile (was she happy this teacher was leaving?) Red flag #1. Red flag #2 came shortly after when one of the parents was scolding and spanking her 1yr old during orientation. If that's any indication of the kind of parents sending their kids here, no wonder they're okay with the way this place is run. The first week they had one staff member training the new kindergarten teacher who, every time I saw her, seemed like she could not form a smile even if she wanted to. There were only 7 kids in the class yet my son came home every day saying how "it was a REALLY bad day and the teacher was REALLY mad". How can 7 kids get that out of hand?? He told me they didn't get to play outside because they were made to line up and be quiet over and over resulting in a shortened recess. He told me there was another staff member who often came in and yelled at the kids when they struggled to "sit still and be quiet" at circle time. (Any childcsre provider should know these are developmentally inappropriate expectations for kindergarten). It seems the new teacher is incredibly overwhelmed and inexperienced. In fact most of the staff has very limited teaching experience because of such a high turnover rate. I think their most experienced teacher only had like 6 years of experience?? Oh and I forgot to mention the multiple times I walked into the Preschool classroom and smelled cigarettes. I work from home and am able to pick up my kids at random times. It seems I caught the Preschool teacher off guard a few times as I'd walk down the hall hearing her snapping at the 3 year Olds "get out of there RIGHT NOW!" as if she were talking to a dog. At nap time she'd snap "GO LAY DOWN" when my 3yo asked to go potty. Ever since that day she REFUSED to go back in that room. One day I walked in and once again the teacher is being shrude to kids, up until the second she notices me she flips the script and is sweet as honey. Same when I walked into the kindergarten classroom. I didn't even know who was in the class watching them (some random staff). A girl was crying in a corner and the teacher just rolled her eyes "you're fine" and ignored the girl until she noticed me in the room. Suddenly she was sweet and caring. Everyone is super kind and sweet up front but it's easy to see through the veil if you just pay attention. Multiple times I'd walk in to pick up my kids and have absolutely no clue where they were. When I walked outside to pick up my daughter on the playground I walked into two teachers yelling at kids. I stood there like "uh where is my kid" they didn't even bother to look at or greet me. I had to wander around outside and find her myself. Same when I picked up my son late once and his classroom was empty and literally no one told me "we move kids to this room at x time". Again I just had to wander around and ask staff where my kid was. This place is a mess. Faculty is a mess. Staff is overworked and overwhelmed and under-experienced and under-trained. The vibes are just off. It feels like a prison. There was not a single day when I walked into that building and kids weren't crying. Be sure to carefully read the Indeed reviews from staff that previously worked here before deciding to send your child to ANY Primorse school. Would not recommend.
