Smile Design Ellsworth

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Smile Design. I moved to Maine over three years ago. Anyone can understand the challenges of finding healthcare and dental care in a new state and town. Newcomers tend to rely on reviews and customer feedback. After extensive searching, I was confident in choosing Smile Design because of their five star reviews. I felt compelled to write my own because I personally know now the reasoning the reviews are so high. It had admittedly been years since I'd seen a dentist, and was insecure of being judged. But the second I walked in, Malinda at the front desk greeted me by name with a smile. It's important for patients not to be treated as a 'number' but an individual, and I can tell that Dr. Palmer has put an immense amount of effort into selecting a staff that understands these principles. Dr. Stefan is professionally confident but also relatable. The assistants were just as lovely. I had several fillings and a crown procedure and when the temporary crown was to be removed and the permeant one placed, Dr. Stefan made a point to address that the shade wasn't perfect enough. What may seem as an inconvenience to some-because I'd have to return for another appointment, made me personally feel like I was being cared for and represented and that's really all a person wants. So, kudos to the team at Smile Design! Thanks for caring about each person that walks into your building.

This place is a godsend. I had terrible luck with good dentists who did quality work and could be trusted my whole adult life until coming here. I was able to get work done to restore teeth that other dentists didn't feel like working on, and Dr. Palmer figured out why I had a hard time getting numb before dental work and has always allotted more time so I'm able to be comfortable. By the time I found him, I needed lots of work done but it was done well, spaced out by priority so I could manage it in my budget but not be in pain, and everyone there is very kind and helpful and caring. Highly recommend them.

Fantastic. I've had a new patient exam, a cleaning, a root canal and a filling so far this year from Dr. Palmer. Every procedure has been done with special care to minimize pain and thus has been the least painful dentistry I've had. Everyone at the practice is lovely to work with, and I've rarely waited more than a few minutes after arriving to be seen. The office is also quite nice. There are thoughtful touches throughout (nice saltwater fish tank, phone/device charging station, iPads above the chair with pleasant images for you to look at while you get your mouth worked on) that make a difference. I'm delighted that we have a dentist like this in Ellsworth!

Doctor Palmer and staff at smile design are awesome. I have done a number of dental procedures at Smile design over the past year and I am very satisfied with the service.
