My dog died at this hospital. It took me a while to find the strength to write this review. I brought my dog here for a second opinion to see if there was anything that could be done to save him as he was suffering from lung complications due to chronic kidney failure according to the first vet at a different hospital I saw earlier that same day. The vet at this hospital gave me false hope saying that my dogs blood work seemed fine. They decided to keep him overnight to run test. When I brought my dog here, he was not in any pain, he was not crying, he was not wailing. The very next day a different vet called me to let me know there was nothing that could be done, that my dog was in pain and that his cries were disturbing other dogs (how empathetic). I will never forget the wailing and crying I heard as I was placed in the private waiting room waiting to see my dog. Thats how loud it was and I recognized that it was my dogs voice immediately. Ive never heard him cry anything like that before. They told me he had been crying all of the night before. I was furious. I placed my dog in their care and assumed that they would keep him comfortable and of course if he was in any pain, because of whatever they were doing to him, pain free. What a horror it was when they finally carried him in, a urethra catheter in him dangling from his tiny body, and a port already placed in his shaved paw for the euthanasia drugs. He was wailing in pain. I would have given anything for my dog to not have been in pain during his last days on this planet and to not have been alone at that hospital the night before he died. This hospital failed my dog in so many ways and scarred and traumatized me for life. I will never forgive myself for bringing my dog here.

Having a dog with a chronic disease meant we were a frequent patient at Blue Pearlboth emergency and internal medicine. We cannot say enough good things about the team and quality of care we experienced. Even though we had to say goodbye to our beloved Harlee, we will always be grateful for everyone at Blue Pearl. Especially Dr. Cavett and her team! Their expertise and care gave us many more years with our boy! Thank you!

Ive been wanting to post a review for so long but never seem to have a moment. We have been taking our dogs to Blue Pearl ever since we couldnt ever seem to get seen in a timely manner at our local vet. This morning our 4yo male French Bulldog mix wasnt able to use his rear legs and was crying in pain, we went straight to Blue Pearl. They provided him with immediate pain relief and a referral to the neurological surgeon that we didnt know we needed. He is in surgery at this moment receiving an intervention to save the use of his legs. Blue Pearl is a clean, accommodating and relaxing environment. Staff are more than courteous, caring and supportive. There was a gentleman that opened the door for us on our first time there when we were so scared and werent sure where we were going in an emergency situation. Things moved swiftly and checkout was painless. And we always leave with the meds our dog needs. Whether its a bloody injury, congestive heart failure or now IVDD, they have made our lives easier, healthier and safer for our animals. Thank you Blue Pearl Charlestown. We have never felt a higher level of gratitude to an entire veterinary facility before like this. With Gratitude, The Hartt Family CJ, Katie, Ella, Emmy, Biff and Fiona.
