Food was simple and tasty, and staff were courteous and kind. Love the book collection! Everything seemed unnecessarily overpriced however.

I was waiting for my daughter to finish an interview at a rehab so was exploring the area. I thought it looked like a nice place to grab a bite. The door was locked but a man answered. He was very rude to me when I tried to ask questions about the restaurant.

Great vibe, great food (skip the non-liver pate, get the date pudding desert) but we had really bad service. We seemed to have no less than three servers, all of whom were constantly interrupting our evening. We were asked if we wanted to order food after we'd ordered our entrees; we were asked if we wanted to settle up after we'd already paid -- again in a disruptive way, with our server holding court over the table. Our server said to us at one point, "Can I take any of these glasses out of your way?" As we tried to decide what could stay and what should go, she said, "A simple yes or no would help." Someone came by to ask if we wanted anything else and I said, "I'd asked for more water," and the server said brusquely, "You can get it yourself over there." We ordered drinks, an appetizer to share, two desserts to share, and entrees, and yet we felt kind of forced to leave after no more than 2 hours, because we were being asked constantly if we wanted anything else. It really distracted and made what could have been a very positive experience -- fun place, good food -- somewhat unpleasant.
