Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis Airport Mall of America

This is a good place to stay a night or two. I stayed for business for a week and there were a couple issues with this location. The first issue was the $10 a night parking fee. Nothing was said about that when I booked my stay. The second issue was the lack of maintenance on the room I was in. The room was very clean. There were small things like burnt out light bulbs, no water pressure, loose sink hardware and a busted chair. With that said, the staff was incredibly professional and helpful, & you can't beat the location since it's pretty convenient to everything. You really can't beat the price either.

Booking was fine (besides getting conned into a cheap trip that I'll have to sit through a 2 hour time share "opportunity" right in the middle of the 3 day stay that I know they'll totally try running my vacation if I don't sign up..), I thought it would be cheaper to book ahead, but that most definitely was not the case. Check in was simple. We picked a room on the top floor, which smelled like a bunch of dirty cat litter boxes..? And then in the morning it smells like a gas leak or sewer. Not sure what's going on. The pool is just that, no hot tub or anything special. Continental breakfast is $8.99 Parking is $10/ day I feel like I got the left overs in hotels although I picked it out in advance so I would not feel that way.

The website is NOT UPDATED! I sat at the airport for over 30 mins waiting on the shuttle. Once I called I was told they don't do regular runs, you have to make a reservation. No place does it tell you that. The website also gives you hours of shuttle, driver told me they run 24 hrs. Dining says they have breakfast. They have dinner too and it's really good! I enjoyed the restaurant twice! Why isn't this information accurate? This is a good hotel, the shuttle drivers were both wonderful, Adrian on check-in was awesome, dinner and breakfast were great. I'm really glad I stayed here and would come back, but the lack of accurate information is really frustrating.

I would not recommend booking this hotel at all. For the simple fact that on their website clear as day it states that they offer free on site parking. However, when you arrive you have to pay to park- 10$ A NIGHT. and on top of that it's almost impossible to find a spot because the parking lot is overflowing. When I brought this to the attention of the employee he stated that Bloomington requires everyone to pay to park now. Then the manager informed us that a third party profits off of the parking and the system glitched so they oversold parking spots.
