This is the absolute WORST company to exist they need to be classified as scammers. I recieved a $500 bill from a collection agency for this company that I havent used in MONTHS. I called to figure out WHY I was being charged this. I was told in September of last year I owed $200 (how if my bill is $60 a month) and I paid it but the check didnt go through and was returned to my account with a fee. First of all, i pay by debit card and if that IS the case why did I NEVER receive any sort of communication of this. Not a single text even though i confirmed with the guy i spoke with that I was signed up for text alerts. They silently kept adding on random charges like a fee for turning my service back on when I NEVER ASKED FOR THAT and a fee for not returning equipment when I was NEVER TOLD TO. And each month they have continued to charge me for internet supposedly even though my service has been shut off. This is the slimiest company Ive ever encountered and a letter to the BBB will definitely be sent.

I googled the number for optimum as I always do to pay my bill through the automated payment system and the call went to an actual person and I said oh I was trying to reach the automated payment option and he said that the automated system is down so that's why the call got sent to him for the payment. We went through with the payment. I paid 121 and some cents to become current on our bill on March 20th. On March 26th our Internet is shut off and we call optimum the same way I always have and reached optimum. We was trying to figure out what was going on and the lady told us that we payed a third party fraudulent company. After spending nearly 4 hours on the phone with two different representatives both of which was very rude and had no compassion we finally got our Internet restored with the expectation to pay our full bill again plus a late fee and a reinstate fee and we have week to do this otherwise it's shut off again. We believe that optimum handled this entire situation poorly and had terrible customers service through this entire process and wouldn't recommend this service to my worst enemy.

Spent 2 hours on the phone with billing and customer service. I told them I wanted my service shut down on the 1st of January. They sent service technicians out and they picked up my boxes and modem. I then received a bill for the month of January even though they said they were refunding me my money for time I had no service. I made a trip to the Aurora office and asked why and they said it's because I agreed to extend my service for two months which I clearly did not. So I had no service in the month of January and this month because they took my equipment but they want me to pay for 2 months of service. Horrible customer service and they have no phone number for their home office if you have an issue. The number connects you with someone out of this country. Overpriced and bad customer service.
