Highly Recommend! We had an emergency in the greenhouse and the owner Michael took care of it immediately. Not only did he fix my mistake by giving me enough space to run all my heaters and lights, but he took the time to educate me as well. Thank you so much for being there for us!!! With the record setting winter last year, my power was out for quite some time and at that point I realized I wasnt prepared for an extended power outage like I should be. I heard some advertisements from Generac on the radio and called for a free quote.They quoted me $27,000 to set me up and that wouldnt even run the whole house, but I would be able to have the necessities I had requested. I felt that was pretty pricey, so instead I went on YouTube and watched some videos about wiring my house for a portable generator. All in all it looked very simple, and I have built custom motorcycles and Hot Rods before, but after 71 years of life's experiences on this planet, I know there are some things that are better left to a professional (especially electrical) so I decided on having a licensed professional Electrician do the install. My first quote was almost $2800 and that would again take care of my basic needs during a power outage. As always I like to get a second opinion, so I got out the phonebook and found Aurora Electric. Mike the owner, was busy on a job, but wasnt working far from my house and asked if he could swing by when he was finished at his job site and I told him that was perfect. We met and he assessed the job and told me he would have a quote for me the next day. True to his word, I received a quote the next day and it was almost $1000 cheaper. I asked Mike why he was so much cheaper, as I know you dont get something for nothing these days, and he told me the other Electrician had quoted the job with more materials and labor that was actually required for the limited power requirements I had requested. (I believe you call that an upsell) At that point I had a good feeling I had found the right man for the job. With my go ahead word over the phone, he said he would order all the parts and call me when he had them. Again, true to his word, he called and asked what day would work for the installation. Mike sent me a text on the day of the install and told me the time he would be there. He was on time and needed nothing but time to complete the job. Once the job was finished he cleaned the work area in my garage, we did a complete test of the system, plus he answered my questions and walked me through all that I would need to know with the system in the event of another power outage. Im not sure how I got so lucky or blessed to call Mike at Aurora Electric for the installation, but I am so glad and thankful I did. If youre in need of a electrician who says what he does and does what he says, and actually cares about the quality of his work, then look no further than Aurora Electric and Mike for your needs
