        ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE. They just made it even more worse for my mental health issues, they made me stay longer…and made me want to sh even more. Disgusted and disappointed.

        2013/14 I was forced to go to this place and placed in the acute unit (high risk) at 11. Then transferred to the boys RTC program and multiple times, I was overdosed because they carelessly inject you with needles until they put you in a coma, just because they can and get away with it. I spent 6 months there

        It was a miserable experience. The food was awful, I was grabbed by one boy while walking past to put up my plate. We were treated like prisoners by the staff and belittled constantly. I was fourteen. If you slept in they kept you longer. If you are too much they kept you longer, if you ate too much or too little they kept you longer. They took away my shoes and refused to give me Velcro. They took away my personal hygiene products and dispersed them out to other patients. They took away my personal books for other people. They refused to let me make phone calls when they promised they’d let me. This was four years ago but it stuck with me.

        I came here when I was 14, 12 years ago, from my memories, it is not a bad place, but the staff treat you very poorly and often scream at you.

      Peak Behavioral Health Services has been a leader in mental and behavioral health for more than 20 years. Our mission is to improve the lives we touch by providing quality behavioral healthcare for adolescents, adults, seniors, the military, veterans, and first responders throughout El Paso, TX, and the state of New Mexico. We offer Inpatient care services, Partial hospitalization (PHP), Intensive outpatient program (IOP), Telemental Health for adolescents, Residential treatment program (RTC) for ages 12-18, and Assertive community treatment (ACT). We are open 24/7 365 days a year. We provide free and confidential mental health assessments by appointment or on a walk-in basis. No referral required.
