The mortgage process was such a headache with other lenders and after months of already having another lender in place, we were told close to 1 month before closing that the lender did not want to follow through because the apartment was a new build (something that was known months before). Purchasing your first home is never easy especially in NYC. It's a painful and stressful process with lots of sweat, blood, and tears.
