SpringHill Suites by Marriott Durham Chapel Hill

Had a quick one-night trip here. Very clean hotel and room with recent updates. Room was spacious and everything needed was there. Staff was friendly and bed was very comfortable. I loved the location as it's right near the interstate and a nice area of town with good restaurants right nearby. Breakfast was great in the morning, definitely one of the best I've had as far as the selection and overall presentation of everything. The only critique I have is there was a slight musty smell to the room and the chlorine/bleach (whatever they use) in the hot tub was WAY too strong. Hours later, and after a shower, I can still smell it. Other than that, though, a great stay. Would definitely recommend.

Spacious and clean room. Excellent service and hot breakfast. Can't ask for more. The hotel is conveniently located close to several restaurants within walking distance. Room had nice sitting area, with desk and chair. It had a trundle bed which can be converted to sleeper for two - I would think suitable for kids.

The shower plug had to be taken out to ensure that the water actually went down. I honestly couldnt tell you if the sheets were actually clean. I lifted up the cushions of the pull out couch and there was trash and crumbs all under there that has obviously been there for a while. I ended up getting severe food poisoning from the scrambled eggs from breakfast. Probably my own fault, but whatever they used was cheap and inedible.
