Aloft Wilmington at Coastline Center

The staff was amazing and the location was spectacular. The room, however, had a mold issue from a leaking toilet. Mold was so bad it was lifting the vinyl flooring around the toilet and growing up between the vinyl slats!

Seriously, I just walked thru this place to check it out one day. Very zootie. Nice vibe. Bathroom clean. Cats in parking lot. Came back next morning for chocolate croissant, fresh baked pastries for sale each morning. Tasty! No GF. Also served breakfast sandwiches.

Selecting aLoft Wilmington for your next corporate event is MUST! We recently booked our annual wine trade tasting and working with Scot was awesome! He was very detailed, personable and made sure all of our event needs were met. He was extremely detailed with all planning logistics and execution. Working with Paul (banquet manager) + staff the day of the event was stellar! Attentive and ensure every detail of my event was carried out thoroughly. Looking forward to using aLoft for our event next year!

Built into the old Alantic Cost Line Railroad building, creating an interesting entrance and lobby. Most of the hotel is new contruction with a nice roof top restaurant to see the sun set over drinks and dinner. Also if you get one of the corner king rooms with balcony you will get a wonderful view of the river, river walk, and ship accross the way. If i was there with a family it might also be cool to get a room on the otherside with a view of the train museums steam engine and caboose (Althoght i did not have this view being in the corner room mentioned) Otherwise a comfy bed, nice loft style room, and all minor issues were quickly resolved by staff. Rooms: Nice cozy room, corner room had great views both to the river walk, and the river its self plus a balcony. Walkability: easy access to the historic downtown 2 blocks away and no super busy streets on the way. Easy to go into town for a coffee, shopping, or restaurant. In addition the hotel is right on the river walk.

Clean. 2 queen beds. Fridge. Friendly service at check in and anytime we walked through the lobby. I called front desk to get more bathroom supplies and coffee, they were friendly and brought items to our room quickly. As a family of 4, it was a little tricky to use the bathroom sink or closet area while someone else was in the shower because the shower was all glass. You couldnt get to the toilet while someone was in the shower without walking past them in the all glass shower. This may not be the case in the layout in every room. There were curtains to mostly close off the bathroom from the bedroom area. It truly is a loft design. The location was great for us in town for a wedding close by. You can walk out to the river for a nice view. The rooftop is a great view too. $20 a day for self parking. The lot was full when we returned in the evening so we had to use the parking garage around the corner. The hotel validates the ticket. We had a good experience here and it met our travel needs.
