Gate City Bank

Tammy S. at Gate City Bank was so wonderful to work with. She is incredibly knowledgeable, helped us get locked in to an affordable rate for us to build our new house. The process was easy, she explained things so I was able to understand, and stayed in communication as needed throughout the whole process. Closing was a breeze and setting up auto payments had a great perk of donating to your favorite charity. I would highly recommend Tammy S. at Gate City Bank, Gateway location and working with Gate City Bank has been a great experience.

Worse than Wells Fargo on overdraft fees. They like to sneak charges the day before you get paid so they can steal half your paycheck. Don't bother disputing any charges, they won't help you.. Same response for all problems.. "Sorry do it yourself".. The only positive thing I have to say about gate city bank is they got good cookies

They do not cover fraud. If something suspicious happens to your account they do nothing to try and help you and will make you pay all the money, even charges that are thousands in the negatives that they didn't catch or stop (happened over night). Closing my account this week

Employee used my social security number and personal info to open an account for someone who wasnt me. Clearly lacking in the confidentiality department. Already reported to corporate but wouldnt recommend this bank to handle any of your personal information.
