Radisson Hotel Bismarck

The reason for posting four stars and not five is because the machines were evil on that night in particular. My wallet was about $50 lighter as I walked out the door...which affected my rating. I operate on a complex system that fluctuates widely due to many factors: smoking regulations, success @ gambling or picking up girls' phone numbers, or possibly even just a bad hair day. (I rock a shaved dome so this one rarely, if ever, happens.) And the barmaid, Brandy, is an old friend from half a lifetime ago. Her presence influenced my rating as well.

I usually stay at Radisson if I can as I like to be in the downtown area, lots of shops and restaurant choices. My last stay was less than pleasant. They were apparently have internet issues and I stood for about 30 minutes before the manager even let me know what was going on. I was standing with several other guests so I wasn't going to budge in front of them to ask what the problem was. They have a new Front Desk manager who is less than pleasant. I had a room near the elevator and asked to move and he says I am not doing any room changes, no explanation as to why. Day 2 of my stay was met with a voice yelling at a guest outside my door. It was the manager informing a guest they had to vacate the hotel. There was absolutely no discretion and as I walked out of the room, no I'm sorry for the disturbance. I am a Radisson Rewards member and always try to stay at a Radisson, but I was not given the usually courtesy of an upgrade or even the free drink ticket. I was handed keys and sent on my way without an enjoy your stay. I checked out with the exact same customer courtesy from this man as I got checking in. Didn't even ask how the stay was. I did phone back as I needed a receipt for my stay. 1st time no receipt sent, but the lady did seem to be in training as I heard her getting assistance from someone else. I called back and low and behold the manager answers. Questions: What is your name? When did you stay? I'll resend it. I say thank you to a click! I know that the Radisson doesn't have the greatest reputation, but this man makes even more horrible. Walkability: Located downtown

Our bathroom was dirty but more importantly, the front desk people said we could street park our oversized vehicle as long as we were gone before 8:30AM. We returned to where wed parked at 8 and our work van was gone; front desk said they had no idea what could have happened. It had been towed and cost $160 to retrieve. Without the help of a kind local, we would have accrued Uber charges as well. The Radisson refuses to rectify this issue or admit wrongdoing.

Always easy check in, staff is efficient, room always clean & cafe & bar on site is convenient!
