This is a very cheaply designed and decorated hotel. They're trying to be industrial chic, I guess. It did feel a lot like staying in a warehouse, with the lack of sound proofing and a wobbly table that was missing a foot and kept tipping over, dumping our stuff on the floor each time. We got stuck with 2 accessible rooms with a complicated shower apparatus requiring us to get front desk help to operate it -- only to find out that the handheld shower in both of our rooms was not even working/installed properly. Besides that, it wasn't the kind of apparatus that would suit a disabled traveler in that the levers were placed high -- out of reach for anyone who can't stand up fully. We also paid too much for not very good cinnamon rolls with no icing -- and only later learned that they were supposed to come with cream cheese frosting. The front desk was reasonably responsive, but a Marriott customer expects better -- even when staying at one of the cheaper brands.

We are a family of 4 that was traveling with two 13 year old girls to watch the state basketball tournament championship games. The location is great & there are a lot of food & shopping options close by. Check-in at 3 was good. Room was warmer than we like, it was 74, so I lowered it to 70 so that when we came back the room would be cool & we could sleep well. The outlet by the bathroom sink didn't work. So, no mirror to use while fixing your hair is frustrating. The room only had one trashcan, so no trashcan in the bathroom for feminine products. We got back from the games late at night & our room was still at 74. At that point we had already unpacked & were exhausted from our day. I didn't have the space or energy to address our problems so in all fairness management wasn't given an opportunity to correct anything. If you're looking for a reliable comfortable stay to meet your families basic needs for one night I recommend going somewhere else.

Great hotel, close to restaurants and comfortable rooms. Rooms: Modern amenities and feel, beverage chiller not a mini-refrigerator in room, steamer not an iron, and sliding door separating the toilet/shower and rest of the room.

The front desk lady/person was very rude. I feel as if I was profiled and not let to check in to my reservation. This is not the first time Ive had this experience with the front desk person as they were rude last time I stayed here as well. Each time I have asked for their name and they will not give me their name. I have traveled for work for years. Stayed at Marriotts pretty exclusively for years and I have stayed at this specific Aloft location in OKC multiple times. I showed up to check in and she was not present. She was out back smoking and reeked of smoke when she finally did come to open the door. I travel for work, sometimes I get in later than expected, but I did not cancel my 5 day reservation, nor have I ever had a staff member be outwardly upset because I checked in after midnight After she let me in, I let her know I was there to check in and she was upset that I was late (?) and told me that she already checked me as a no show, but that I guess I can do that. I showed proof of my reservation. The company card was on file to charge for the reservation, but I was willing to provide a card for incidentals. She kept telling me no she needed a new card to charge for the entire room right then. I said that was very strange as when I stayed at the same exact hotel a few weeks prior and they did not do this. As Im talking, she charged my company card as I was standing there talking to her and then proceeded to tell me I also needed to pay with my personal card still. I showed her that she just charged my company card so that made no sense. Then she walked away and told me she had other things she had to do she said she needed to make coffee. Its 4a and no one was in there except her and I so I said, I feel like thats not a priority right now. Mind you, as were still going back and forth, she has already charged my company card $640. She then tells me I can fill out a card authorization form. I asked for the form. She told me doesnt have it currently and cant find it. So I asked what am I supposed to do. At this point I am on the phone with Marriott Bonvoy customer service. Two customer service reps have asked her to just allow me to stay in the room for a few hours since its 4a and we can get it figured out in the morning. She says no twice because she doesnt know why Im here. I have shown her my work reservation, I am holding my company bag, and my previous work reservation from a few weeks earlier. I had not raised my voice, but yes I was clearly frustrated. So then I say, So I have to pay for the room twice, you wont give me the form I need to fill out, you wont let me go the room that you charged me for? Am I supposed to sleep in my car? You did not do this last month when I was here. She then told me yes you can go outside and told me that she was calling the cops because she cant control her temper towards me. SHE CANT CONTROL HER TEMPER TOWARDS A CUSTOMER?! The police then came and apologized because nothing was going on, no altercation, Im not yelling. I show them my reservation and that she has clearly already charged my card and I show them my transaction receipt. Clearly this lady cannot control her temper..? Why does she have a customer facing job? I felt extremely profiled after I kept telling her I travel for work, sometimes I get in late, thats just how it goes. She didnt believe me. Kept asking for proof of the company, reservation, name, ID, card, even after I showed her multiple times. I asked for the form to fill out, she wouldnt give it to me, and then still charged my card, wouldnt give me a room key and then called the cops for no reason after she charged me $640 for the stay?! Atrocious. Terrible customer service. Safety: Racially profiled Noteworthy details: Terrible customer service
