Sea Mist "Oats & Surf"

I wanted to give the review for Oceanside Inn but since its not even listed properly on Google and since the attendant said its sister companies with this hotel, Ill leave the review here. Oceanside Inn should be condemned and torn down! Its filthy, moldy, nothing works, and its just not suitable for habitation. I mean not even the Internet worked! We should have been paid to stay there! My husband and I were joking that at least it was somewhere to lay our head since we booked a extremely last minute trip during spring break so we were thankful until we got there. My first room that was given to me had someone in it. While I was in the office telling the associate about that, two other ladies came down to complain their TVs werent working. I was just hoping that was a fluke but it wasnt, ours didnt work either, but well get to that. So we were assigned a new room. The numbers on the door were written in magic marker on cardboard; I knew then not to expect much. Well, I didnt expect much and still got less than I expected. The main light didnt work so we had to use lamps. The bathroom door was broke so you couldnt shut it all the way or you would get locked in (and it had holes in the door). The light in the bathroom was broken. We had 2 beds and 3 pillows. Like I said, we were laughing that it was somewhere to lay our head until I laid my head down and saw mold on the lamp right beside me. And, of course our tv didnt work either like I said. After some time of unplugging the tv and finessing it, we got it to come on but it wouldnt turn from that 1 channel. Everything was old, dusty, broken, dirty, just not suitable for people to be staying in. It was horrible. I didnt want my daughter to touch anything. Unfortunately, everything was booked up so we couldnt go anywhere else. The best part about this trip is that we werent in the room that much so we didnt have to face it to often.

We didn't stay at this hotel but strongly considered it. We stayed next door at Coral Bay and our room overlooked the Sea Mist. I am SO glad we didn't stay there. While I can't speak to the service or rooms, the kiddie pool is NASTY!! Our 5 yr old would have been so disappointed I took pictures of it from our balcony. Our hotel pools were all nice and clean. Not sure if Sea Mist is having a pool issue that they cant help but it was gross.

I thought the room staff and all were great. We've booked for this as well.
