Google only lets me review once. So Im adding this years review to last years. August 2023 Captain Jay delivers again. This year we visited Jay in Wisconsin on the Flambeau ins Chippewa river. 107 Smallies in two days. Jay clearly knows these rivers like the back of his hand. They are absolutely beautiful rivers with great fish. We caught Small Mouth Bass, Norther Pike and some really nice Walleye. I would absolutely recommend this adventure for anglers of all skill levels as well as a family adventure. Jay is great with kids. April 2022 Wow! What an adventure. My Father in Law, son and myself had the best time ever with Captain Jay. Jay put us on the fish for two days straight for a total of 105 fish. All the gear Jay provides is awesome, well taken care of and easy to use. Jay's boat has it all... from the jet engine to the minnow cooler this entire system is set up to give you the best experience catching an abundance of monster Smallies. This is an awesome adventure for the experienced angler or a beginner. Jay really took his time explaining everything to us and took my son under his wings so that he had the best experience. Afraid to touch your bait... no problem, the captain/guide takes care of it all. I couldn't think of a better way to spend the day in the Smoky mountains. Check out the pics... these guys were hitting our lines all day long.

Jay is a top notch guide that puts us on fish every year. One of the best trips of the year with my dad. Jay is a fantastic guy as well and will do whatever it takes for you to have a good time.

Just got off the Little Pidgeon with Captain Jay. Results will do the talking...27 fish, 5 species. 20 smallies. 3 TN citation small mouth, 1 for each anlger. 18 small mouth north of 17in. Big fish 3lb 11oz. Two others over 3 lbs. To top it off we caught and released a tagged fish with a $100 reward! Sounds like a fishing story. We will be back in April!

I booked a trip with Jay as a gift to my dad for his birthday. What an awesome trip! Jay worked very hard and had us on fish and taught us the best ways to catch them in each spot. I HIGHLY recommend booking a trip with River Smallie Adventures. We caught 27 smallmouth and 7 other species as an added bonus.

This was our first guided fishing experience & it was amazing! Captain Jay did a great job of teaching us everything we needed to know & we all 3 caught trophy fish! He has such a neat personality. Our two teenage grandsons really listened to him & respected him. The 15 yo said he was "Pretty cool. Easy to talk to." The 13 yo said " He wasn't weird." Those are good complements! He was so easy to work with from the time I contacted him to ask about the trip until it was over. We loved that he didn't fish at all. He was focused on the guys the whole time. Thank you Captain Jay!

Thanks for the great review Chris. Epic day on the river with the three of you each catching a 20+ inch "Citation Smallie". Looking forward to another river smallie adventure in April 2023!

Thanks for the great review Cheryl! I really enjoyed guiding Bob, Keegan, and Michael. It's quite a feat for an individual fisherman to catch a "Citation Smallmouth" that is 20" or longer. Yet each of them caught a "Citation Smallmouth in two days of fishing. Quite the accomplishment.
