This gym is ok but I see a lot of equipment that is outdated and some need repair. The women's locker room isn't clean enough for me. I only come here because my boyfriend goes here. I hope this gym gets improvements.

I have three sets of friends that was going to join golds gym this weekend with their families but they were told they no longer do family memberships and it was $55 a person and $95. A person sign up fee was going to cost him almost $500 just to sign up for golds membership, they need to go look at all the other gyms that are parking lots that are packed and then they will understand why they have no members

In spite of having long-time membership and gym use , Ive joined another club. Poor maintenance, old, worn out equipment and furnishings, frequent break downs in pool, hot tub, plumbing, etc. frustrated me. Unsanitary and unsafe structures in pool area and large group exercise room. Pool Is warm and well-designed for exercise. But lap swimming is restricted by frequent class and swim team times. No ropes allow incompetent or inconsiderate exercisers or swimmers to impinge on others. Rude coach yelled at members trying to exercise or swim to clear out because of need to pour chlorine and pool chemicals into pool since chlorine pump was broken. Untenable, unsustainable, and unacceptable. Braden at front desk is great. Most staff is friendly and willing to help. Most members are friendly. Our two silver sneakers instructors and the classes are great. Pool water is warm and comfortable for most classes. But, there are multiple issues in management, maintenance, outside and inside. Ownership of building is obviously slum landlord , not cooperative with franchise owner and gym. Golds used to be a good gym with a big variety of offerings. They used to have trainers , aquatics director, child care. But thats all gone. I hope they can turn it around. It does not help Golds Gym anywhere in country, if corporate doesnt help their franchises. Nor the national reputation of the business.
