Heywood Hotel

What a good find! Quintessentially Austin cool and what you want from a boutique hotel - small, quiet, unique rooms, and lots of personalization (loved the options to add items to the room beforehand, the daily texts asking if we needed thing). Location is easy to find and park, literally across the street from great food, five blocks from the river and an endless running path, and a quick Uber or scooter to downtown, E 6th, etc. Walkability: Walking distance to enough bars and restaurants and food trucks that you wouldnt need a car to eat somewhere new for every meal.

Heywood Hotel makes you feel like youre at home. The staff were amazing from the moment we walked in until we checked out. Our room was cozy, comfortable and beautiful. The attention to detail on their intake pre check in form was awesome. Honest review. This was a wholesome awesome experience. Thank you!

I've stayed at the Heywood Hotel multiple times, and it's definitely my favorite place to stay in Austin! It's such a calm, peaceful oasis, and it's so well located for the Eastside and beyond! I feel like the Heywood is my home away from home, and I especially have to rave about how immaculately clean it is. The Heywood is SPOTLESS, so comfy, beautiful, well designed, handicapped accessible, and has the kindest crew! Thank you for being my retreat in Austin, everyone! Rooms: So roomy, beautifully appointed, highly functional, spotlessly clean, with fridges, coffee, instant hot and cold beverage taps, comfy beds, great showers. All unique! Safety: Super safe! I have stayed here three times as a female solo traveler and never felt anything except super safe. Walkability: You can use the Heywood as your base for East Austin, and if you're sportif, it's walkable to downtown, too.
