Minty and Lucille Vintage RVs Review: Note: Dont expect the office store to have the ice, charcoal, firewood, or night crawlers they advertise. We arrived at noon on Friday. We checked in and were told that we had been moved to RVs we didnt book on the other side of the amenities area right in front of the bathrooms. Im talking 10 feet from our fire pit is the mens bathroom, and you could hear the farts from restroom all night. Men were walking through our campsite to get there. We paid an extra fee to choose our sites when booking to be close to the water and playground so we could see our small kids. Our view of these areas was completely blocked by the bathroom and shower building at the new sites. We were offered no refund on this amount, and were told that the RVs we booked had a roof leak. Later, we saw someone had rented the RVs we booked, and were there all weekend at the sites we paid extra to be on. Upon unpacking into our RV, we found that we didnt have towels, extra bedding for the sofa bed, or a coffee maker. So, I went and got those from the office, and they took a coffee maker from another RV. Our RV smelled very strongly of urine. Twice, the staff told me it was from a previous tenant with 3 dogs, and that they couldnt get rid of it. They apologized, and gave me skunk away spray that never worked. It was so bad we sneezed all night and everyone got congested. Our friends didnt have running water and had to have it connected. Water pressure was so low that it just trickled inside and leaked outside. Our bedding wasnt clean, and we had an ant infestation in both RVs. Both TVs in the RVs didn't work. I went and got more bedding in the morning and told them about the ants. We had to wait for the office to open get coffee cups and bowls from the store. Neither RV was stocked with dishes as advertised. We had one bowl in ours, and one coffee cup with bugs in it. When I went to make the bed with the new bedding, they had given me a twin fitted sheet for a full bed. They didnt have a clean full one. So, we ended up just laying on a flat sheet the second night. Super uncomfortable mattress. I said all weekend it was like a concrete egg carton. We had no trash can, no TP, and no paper towels. We bought all that at a gas station. The sleeper sofa in our RV was broken. You just rolled into the wall if you laid on it. We ended up having to take the mattress off the top bunk, and one adult and child slept on that tiny bed on the floor. They offered to move us to another camper that only slept 4 of the 5 of us, but it never got cleaned after the tenants checked out on Saturday. No one spoke with us further after we brought all this to their attention Saturday morning and they made the offer to switch after one was clean. Then they closed the office early, and no staff was around. The patio cover was sagging on the minty and you couldnt stand under it. So we hung out at the Lucille camper. The sink didnt drain, and the toilet ran loud constantly. Right next to the bed. The window shades were broken or missing in the RVs. They brought a blanket to cover a window to give privacy for the kids from the construction workers at all the sites. The window sill in the minty looks like termites are eating it. The firepit area of one site was too overgrown to put chairs around it, and the one by the mens bathroom had about 100 cigarette butts in it and chairs folded and laying on top of it dirty. We had to wash them to sit around the fire and clean out the firepit to use it. If we hadnt paid a non refundable amount of $660 for the 2 nights, we would have left. But, we stayed and chose to go out to dinner since we couldnt utilize the kitchen for the meals we had planned for. Needless to say we took off before 8am on Sunday after a sleepless night and multiple ant bites in bed. Dont waste your money on the vintage RV. They should have refunded us for this fiasco, but instead, I was told to write a review, good or bad, and let them know what to fix when I brought this to their attention.

I am going to say that the assistant manager Nicole was extremely helpful. I would have given a 1 star if it was not for her. We went to check in to the vintage trailer at around 8 pm at night. There were no clear instructions left for us regarding the use of an after hours drop box since no one was there to check us in. Once we figured out where to find our key we made it to the trailer. The light on the porch was out. When you walked in is smelled strongly of urine. Bugs were on the floor and there was an ozone machine that has been left. We began bringing our stuff in to realize there was no water. My husband went to turn it on and there was a huge leak in the hose. No one would answer the emergency phone number. With two small children at 830 pm at night we had to drive to marble falls to try to find different accommodations. I emailed as well as left a message. We were refunded the next day. It seems like a good property if you bring your own RV, but I don't recommend the vintage campers.

I have camped for years, but this is my first experience going full time. I visited several parks in the area and ended up choosing Open Air. I have a small camper so I chose this park because of its facilities and location. Its located in a beautiful area. The facilities here are excellent. Since I have a small camper, I do not like the shower. The facilities here are in excellent shape and well maintained! Nice laundry facilities too. Whoever does the housekeeping (I believe her name is Nancy) does an excellent job! The park hosts are extremely nice and helpful - very friendly and welcoming. The walk around the park is a half mile. Its very peaceful and quiet out here. Its nice to sit out at the pond at night. So, overall, after two weeks here, I am very pleased and feel right at home.
