DoubleTree by Hilton Harrisonburg

Strange window view of a service hallway with a tiny balcony??? Who thought this was a good design?? Not a big deal but makes me wonder about everything else. Rooms were at least clean and comfortable. My biggest disappointment is that I paid more because I wanted better room quality than the two star Holiday Inn Express I stayed at a few days before. Instead I got charged for internet (free at holiday inn express) and had a service hallway view when there are Appalachian mountains outside.

Great hotel with bar and simple restaurant. Despite what staff may tell you, I wouldn't bring a semi truck in here. I could barely get my 40 ft centered axle trailer around the back so no chance of a 53ft trailer with rear tandems.

It's like a motel with very basic service. Not as clean as you expect Hilton Brand should be Noteworthy details: I didn't use pool.could feel blanket were not as clean. One Extremely slow elevator for a 4 story building

The staff here is professional but otherwise this is the worst DoubleTree I've ever stayed in. Three entire floors of rooms have windows that look out, not to the outdoors, but an INDOOR pool. Air conditioners are installed through the windows so there is no soundproofing from the pool area. Hope you like the sound of screaming children! There is also a single treadmill for the entire hotel, and it was broken during my stay. Gym is very small. The elevator vibrates and clangs like it's about to collapse on every trip and moves very slow. Does not inspire confidence! The rooms themselves are fine but feel old compared to many other DoubleTree locations. I will not stay here again.
