        I was visiting from North Carolina and stopped in for some firewood for a friend. This was January 24th and the ground was covered in snow! I spotted a birdbath I liked and inquired about it. Alison and the staff were so helpful and friendly! It's the off season so not a lot of people buying bird baths. They went the extra mile to dig out the one I wanted which was no easy feat given all the snow on the ground. A couple days later, after the thaw, I got my bird bath, took it home to NC and I couldn't be happier! It's beautiful! Thanks to Reston Farm Garden Market and all their staff! You're the best! Oh yeah, the firewood was great too. They even loaded it into my car for me! 1/4 of a cord!

        I come to this place often mostly because of the animals. As someone who frequents this place throughout the seasons, Let me tell you something, many visitors, often accompanied by children, come to this place to enjoy the sight of these animals. While they serve as an attraction to customers, it is crucial that their well-being is prioritized, especially in adverse weather. But It is disheartening to witness the animals lacking proper shelter, warmth, and clean water, particularly in harsh weather conditions such as the current cold and windy season. If you swing by today, you will see that animals don't have proper shelter, no heat , no clean water. Animals seemed distressed, shaking due to the cold, and lacking adequate protection. I believe that supporting a place should also mean supporting ethical and humane treatment of the animals within. It is disconcerting to think that the profits generated from visitors may not be adequately invested in ensuring the well-being of the animals. Animal welfare should be a top priority for any establishment that houses and exhibits them.

      We appreciate your concern over our animals! It appears you visited while we were waiting for our hoses to thaw before we could run fresh water. Their shelters have plenty of hay for warmth and they are able to get out of the elements, when needed. We are considerate of their care and safety, and we appreciate you looking out for them as well.
