My husband and I submitted an application for Park 216 on January 16th and we have yet to hear anything back. We were really impressed and pleased with what we saw during our tour with the nice lady Samantha. I have been calling periodically for updates and to check the status on our app. We had plans to move to Va in March but this has us at a stand still because weve been patiently waiting to receive a approval or denial from Park 216.

Went apartment hunting for the very first time in harbourview area. Out of the 5 apartment complexes this was my top choice mostly because of Samantha in the leasing office. She always made me feel welcomed and was extremely nice and caring. I highly recommend meeting with Samantha. She listens to all of my concerns and needs. She never once made me feel like I was an inconvenience. The other apartment complex made me feel like I wasnt important as a client.

I lived at Park 216 for over three years. The only pros I can think of are the front office leasing staff and the location. My car was broken into, and the front office did nothing to help. Nearly every building smelled like weed, or had loud tenants. The dumpster is very far away, and was often filled to the brim, without pickup, and bugs everywhere. The appliances in the unit are the cheapest possible, and they break consistently. While the maintenence workers are helpful, it shouldn't take three visits to realize a dishwasher is obviously broken and needs to be replaced. I had cabinet doors fall off, and even my front door. This place is built like a piece of Ikea furniture. When moving out, I was forced to pay for a new carpet, even though I had two specialists examine it, and say "they use cheap carpeting that needs to be replaced after every tenant". While I could have fought it, I was busy PCSing and didn't want Park 216 to nickle and dime me anymore. This isn't a "luxury" apartment, it's a gimmick. Nothing about this apartment is luxury. I'm glad it was close to my work, but I'm even happier I don't have to deal with all the stress of this place.

UPDATE: While my living experience with Park 216 was relatively pleasant, my move out experience has been anything but. I lived at Park 216 for almost three years and would like to believe I built a relationship with the employees, however, upon move out it feels like I am just another tenant being taken advantage of. It has been one issue after another and it seems like the only thing this realty group cares about is getting every possible dollar they can out of you. Please heed the warnings if you decide to live here, take a million photos, have everything on paper, cover your butt - because any sliver you leave open they will exploit. Ive never been so disappointed. Hands down best place you could live. All of the ladies in the clubhouse are the absolute nicest people and try to make living here as smooth as possible. The property is beautiful. The clubhouse is great. Theres a gym, yoga room, and a pool and just about every month there are little events that the complex hosts to bring the community together. If youre a pet owner, theyre also very animal friendly and do Pet of the Months! As if the amenities werent enough, the bonus is the incredible personalities of everyone that works here.

UPDATE: Today I learned that Park 216 CAN and WILL work with you. I got in contact with the regional manager and worked out an agreement concerning the charges. Needless to say, I am very satisfied of the outcome as it came to an amount that's fair to both parties. Now, I would certainly like to bring this review rating from a 1 to a 5 due to the understanding and appreciation of the staff - the fact remains that the internet service here is not that good. It's not easy for me to write these words especially after having lived here for 3 years on 2 separate occasions and residing in two different apartments. Not to mention, only being late for 1 rent payment during that whole time. I was happy to call this place home, but that was until a few weeks ago when I received a letter pretty much telling me that I won't be getting my $250 deposit back and in fact there will be additional charges. To whomever reads this - PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND: the staff here will nitpick everything so make sure you provide PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE on the state of your apartment when you move in and when you move out. Don't give them the opportunity to potentially take advantage of you. Have all of your bases covered as much as possible. To sum it up, this is not a bad place to live in considering the location, security, and the nice furnishings. However, the internet is terrible, the staff is often hard to get a hold of at times, and the degree to which they will nitpick when you move out is outrageous. I would've thought I built up SOME customer loyalty over the years, but in the end I can't help but feel betrayed. SO LONG AND GOOD RIDDANCE, Park 216!
