Deer Ridge Resort

I never planned to stay in a cabin in Ely, but after my experience I will definitely be returning. Between the first class service, the clean cabin and the very flexible accommodate my stay was second to non. I will definitely be making another trip and staying at deer ridge resort!

Friendly staff, comfortable cabins and a spectacular view from cabin 6 define this resort. Of you're looking to experience the area near the boundary waters but aren't prepared to paddle and portage this resort is a great way to get a taste of the wilderness. Then when relaxing at night enjoy the full kitchen, grill, and high speed internet. There was also a cat. It was soft and friendly. 10/10

Not an easy lake to fish.. panfish hard to locate, good eating size walleye's. Very dog friendly and super clean. Enjoyed the week .

Our family went to this resort for the 2nd year in a row. We stayed longer this time. We rented a pontoon during our stay . We arrived at the cabin to find no picnic table at our site. No garbage bags or even a dish rag to use to wipe a table. I called and asked for garbage bags and mentioned we needed a table. The woman I spoke with brought garbage bags and said they would move a table the next day. No one showed up to do that so my son-in-law’s had to move an extremely heavy table. There was a board full of sharp nails up against the wall of the deck I had to move. We had a baby and other young kids with us which should have been considered when leaving things like that around. The pontoon table was so dirty we couldn’t use it. When I mentioned that the woman told me she knew that but didn’t get to cleaning it. To top it all off, our kids were playing baseball behind the cabin and came home with poison ivy. I find it hard to believe the owners don’t know there is poison ivy right behind the cabins . A warning would have been appreciated ! We won’t be going back! I really felt the owner seemed very dismissive when I expressed my concerns and certainly didn’t go out of her way to make things right.
