I am writing this review not to bash this daycare, but to tell you all my experience. I truly don't feel like this is a safe place for children. My son was 16 months when I enrolled him. He was there for about 6 weeks. It's not a secret that this daycare isn't the nicest of areas. But in Rock Hill I feel it's normal to have a not so great area right next to fine area, so I didn't think anything of it. After the first couple days he was there, I tried the front door just to see if it was locked and to my surprise it wasn't. I have never worked at nor heard of a daycare that doesn't lock their doors, no matter what kind of area they are in. But especially one is near a seedier area. The communication was HORRIBLE. No one ever answered the phone, my requests were blown off and I was made to feel like I was a bother. When picking up we had to wait outside, with COVID I completely understand that and was appreciative of the safety measures, but it took 10-15 minutes of waiting outside every afternoon for them to bring my son out. Ringing the doorbell and calling went ignored. You pay tuition through Venmo or cash, which is super unprofessional to me, and honestly gave off the vibes like the owner is trying to skimp on her taxes. And the cherry on top, my son got bit 7 times within one week. 7!! All the bites either broke the skin or left a huge horrible bruise with visible teeth marks. I was never notified of these bites until I picked him up, and even then it was just written on the daily sheet, no one spoke to me about it. On the sheet things like 'Your son was trying to take someone's toy and got bit' or 'your son was doing this and got bit', they always tried to make it sound like my son deserved to get bit and like it was his fault. Two of the bite marks went unnoticed by the teachers ad I found them in the bath that night. They claimed he never cried or acted upset, but the severity of the bite marks told me otherwise. I would never send my child back to this daycare and would never recommend them to anyone. Honestly, if I could give them negative stars, I would.

Before this month i wouldve given them about a 4 star review. But recently it came to light that atleast 1 employee i can verify is on their phone frequently and entertaining important conversations while on the clock with small children. I know this because i was the person on the other end of the conversation, at the time i had no idea. Later this same day i saw the person and realized they were employed by Palmetto. Def a break of my trust and this place could use some more professionalism. If you are looking for a solid place you will get just that....solid. I will not use this facility for my future children. I will let my eldest finish as he will be in kindegarten sopn enough amd no reason to punish him for questionable managment for the moment. Also taking cash or venmo only payment is def suspicious and signs of fradulant behavior. God bless.
