Long Term Stay (7/11/22 - 6/24/23) **HONEST REVIEW. ** A-OKAY (the name suits them well)!! 1 Star for giving me Privacy, Lg. Lot size, and Cheap living. Its a FAMILY run business, RV park w/ Cattle Farm. The roads are unpaved. Unorganized, poor maintenance and A LOT of miscommunications. Bad reception area, Wi-Fi is a joke at $10/mo. it connects to ONLY 1 device. Owners and children live on site. Your office is a DUMP, it includes 2 bathrooms w/ showers plus a wall of laundry coin machines. Its a run down, OLD house trailer, should be CONDEMNED!! All put-together spot, they called an OFFICE where they sell longhorn (beef) meat on the side. When I first got to A-OKAY RV Park I thought it was a decent place to stay, due to the fact that monthly rates were $350.00 + electricity. During my stay (6 months was unoccupied due to being out of state). I continued to rent the lot for $350. Once I returned, I hooked up power and resumed electricity charges per usage. Most was in order as I had left it, except for my plumbing tubes. It looked like someone had come by and stomped on them. Then there was a load of pine needles left behind from winter 4ft x 4ft, that was never cleared from the right-side ground of my RV where the plumbing was. I mentioned it a few times to Mgmt. + staff/family, but nothing was ever done about it, so I took it upon myself to rake it up. Electricity was OVER KILL!! When I first moved in, it was $1.00 per KW. (Average charge was $100-$150 a month). When I returned from out of state it went down to .15 cents KW (per receipt)?, but somehow, I was still being charged $100+ per month.???? When I gave notice to move out, one staff/family told me Id be getting reimbursed for the days I did not use along with my initial $100 deposit. On move out day, staff/family told me all I was getting back was $39.00 after all the deductions which she had to call her mother (Mgmt./Owner) for clarification. At this point, my husband and I made an attempt to try and understand the confusing explanation face to face. We made it into the OFFICE, where Mgmt./Owner husband and wife had just entered. After we inquired and explained the confusion/ misunderstanding, Mgmt./Owners both got up and left the OFFICE. The husband already had an irritated look on his face, they were both rude and exited the office with no comment as if they were fleeing the scene. Today is 7/16/2023 and we have yet received our $39.00 or heard from them. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND OR WILL NOT RETURN due to the unprofessionalism, disorganized and stealing/ undermining charges (electricity) that has occurred while staying at A-OKAY RV Park. I say take your money, pay the extra $200 and go to a reputable place like "Dothan RV Park", a place of charming stunning scenic picturesque in the Circle City. Writer background - (CA. Traveling Nurse).
