Leeann The manager is low down and manipulative she plays with EVERYONES money and pockets it for herself , she refuses to put employees in contact with higher management! She does not care for the clients DO NOT place a loved one in her care if you call her for help about a client she will ignore you ! Terrible leadership and terrible person to leave your loved ones in the hands of !!

First of all, I will start with positives. The building and facilities are lovely and Sheree the marketing head is lovely and caring. The food seemed above average and we liked all the nurses. Now on to the flip side. My grandmother suffered from advanced stage dementia, and getting her into the right section of the facility was quite an ordeal, because the evaluations were cursory and kept missing the mark on her capabilities and dementia stage. After everything was said and done, my grandmother spent two total nights in the facility after being mis-placed in the assisted level, versus memory care despite our concerns. We were assured multiple times that she was a good fit, even after we pushed back with our concerns about her abilities and agitation level. All of that being said, mistakes in diagnosis and assisted level fit happen, and could be forgiven - however. After she was totally moved out of the facility, Harbor Chase automatically drafted our accounts without authorization (approximately $7,000), and when approached with questions made every effort to deflect, avoid, and lie about said charges. After approximately 6 weeks of call avoidance (during which time my grandmother passed away), payment was returned without comment or care or apology. This was very unprofessionally managed, and made a very difficult time in our lives even more difficult.

We toured the facility for my mother in law and they evaluated her for admittance. After paying the deposit of the facility fee and first month my mother in laws situation quickly deteriorated. We never moved her in. She ended up back in the hospital where the nurses told us that she would need more skilled care at a nursing home facility. She could no longer transfer even with assistance and had stopped eating all together which was a criteria of her being accepted there. We notified Harbor Chase of the change and let them know since her circumstances had changed we would not be moving her there. She passed away three weeks later because of the rapid deterioration. It has now been 8 weeks since we asked for a refund. We were assured that we would receive a full refund within 30 days. 30 days has come and gone. First phone call they stated the check was being cut that day, second phone call from them a week later asked us for our address, two weeks later still no check. We called again and were notified it was in review. It has now been 8 weeks. The person we need to speak to is never available to come to the phone and they will not return phone calls. They have made this difficult situation more difficult. They have not done what they said they would do and are dragging it out as long as possible. We are talking about over $12,000 in refund that has been requested. I am giving it one star because this will not post with zero stars.
