We love this office! He did my braces and my cousins when we were growing up 17 years ago. He is now doing my daughter's. It is a practice that is ran old school. I don't see anything wrong with that. Also it's the best prices around. I do recommend.

Did HORRIBLE with my spacers. Got my braces off two years ago and theres this huge gap between my molars. Its extremely painful and Im having to schedule a dentist appointment to get the space filled because it hurts so horribly. Which will also require me to get a new retainer. I LOVE losing money on account of someone elses incompetence. Meanwhile the entire time I had my braces, every time I came in (despite always wearing my bands as asked), I was always told theyd come off next time, yet I ended up having them for months longer.

Pros: It's quite cheap compared to anywhere else. Cons: You're a number to them, not a person. They'll give you the bare minimum (or less) and try to get you out the door as soon as possible. You get what you pay for. If you can't afford anywhere else and are willing to accept a relatively higher chance of having you teeth not fixed after several years, this is the place. If you *can* afford somewhere better, don't stinge. There are better ways to save money.

When I moved to Tennessee from Birmingham in the eighties, I was in the midst of orthodontia treatment and had braces on. My orthodontist in Birmingham referred me to Dr. Joe Strickland for completion of my treatment. I was told he was a perfectionist, so even though I lived over an hours drive from his office.I became Dr. Stricklands patient. I am so happy I did! I have a background of working in dentistry and therefore I have some knowledge of oral problems. Dr. Strickland indeed turned out to be a perfectionist. One of the first things I noticed was he invests time in studying each clients case. All cases are different and there is not just a magic fix for all. Teeth can move very quickly with braces on, but the bone which holds teeth in place, moves very slowly. I have heard Dr. Strickland explain these important little details to patients, and not all professionals take the time for this courtesy with people. Since my treatment, all three of my kids have gone through orthodontia treatment with Dr. Strickland, and now he has my grandkids in braces. I wanted the best for my family, and we found that in Dr. Strickland.
