Revolution Flight

I flew with Stephen Hines for my discovery flight and everyone was extremely respectful and professional and I'm glad I chose Revolution Flight School.

I received a discovery flight with Revolution Flight as a gift. I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. The instructor was very polite. While the instructor was conducting a preflight inspection of the plane he took time to explain to me what he was doing, why, and what he was looking for along the way. While holding short of the runway the instructor allowed me to talk to the tower to request takeoff clearance which I thought was cool. I definitely felt in control of the plane 99% of the time. The instructor took the controls to allow me to take pictures and then offered to take pictures for me while I flew. The instructor was confident enough with my performance to allow me to attempt to land although he did help me land safely. That being said I have plenty of experience in simulators so the experience may vary for people who have no basic knowledge of aircraft. I'm confident that the instructors will walk you through it and explain everything to you along the way. They're also there to intervene for safety or take over if you feel uncomfortable. We took off on a heading north of the airport from runway 36R then followed beside 565 to the parkway flying over the space and rocket center along the way. We then circled down south of the airport over the river to come back in for landing on runway 36R. I would recommend this awesome gift for anyone that is interested in aviation, I had a great experience with everyone involved. I can't compare it to discovery flights elsewhere as this is the first time I have ever flown.

Wonderful flight school with top notch staff. Definitely recommend checking them out if you have an interest in starting or furthering your journey as a pilot!

Stay away!!! On my sons first flight lesson after his discovery flight he pilot gave him the controls. My son telling the instructor that he was not ready. Was told to take the controls. The aircraft did a nose dive, because my son didnt know what to do. The instructor put my son in a situation that would terrify any person on their first flight lesson. My son, who was excited about becoming a pilot, doesnt want to be a pilot anymore. All because a Revolution Flight instructor thought it was cute to scare an 18 year old out of his dream. I dont know if it was racially motivated, but I felt that smugness and arrogance when I got there and paid for the lesson. Some groups of people are just evil hearted It really threw my son.
