Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children Gift Shop

Choosing Women and Children’s for my delivery was the best decision I ever made. I had an induction set, and being a first time mom I was nervous and scared. But the nurses and doctors went above and beyond. In L&D they made sure we were comfortable the night before, and quickly addressed any pains I was having. The anesthesiologist was great in administration of my epidural. I was very nervous, but he explained everything he was doing, and set my worries at ease and made sure I was comfortable. Come the big day, my nurse Meagan, was absolutely amazing. She answered all my questions and explained things in a way that reassured me, she was so supportive and encouraging, and when the epidural began to fail on one side of my body, she quickly addressed the situation and fixed the problem immediately. She did not dismiss any concerns or pains I having. Overall she did an amazing job at making my birth experience the best it could be, and afterwards as well. Meagan, thank you for loving your job and being so compassionate! In recovery, we had great nurses that met my needs, my baby needs, and even made sure my husband was comfortable and felt involved. Katyleen rocked! She was there for any concern, all the laughs, and if she couldn’t answer my questions, she made sure to find someone who did. She took very good care of us, and made us feel at home. We both really really enjoyed having her as our day shift nurse. The lactation consultants did a very nice job at directing me, and easing my concerns as well. I highly recommend this hospital for anyone who worries like me and has a thousand questions. It is the perfect hospital for inexperienced or first time moms. Thank you everyone for making the biggest time of lives, the easiest, the most comfortable, and most of all thank you for making us feel like we weren’t “just patients.” :) 10/10

Took my son in for covid symptoms but because he’s 2 they brushed it off & said it was a cold .. so we come back 2 weeks later only to have an even WORSE experience ! The nurse ( chubby older white lady ) insisted i give my son ( 2 year old black child ) water from the sink instead of gettin him a cup of water to take his meds with .. I literally saw everyone else get cups of water but she literally refused him one .. then they made his ears bleed checking him .. it was a really bad experience & we will not be back !

Had to have surgery on 8.4.21. Everyone was super nice but a shout out to Cheryl in the pre op area who did her best to keep me calm while waiting for the OR since my surgery was delayed by a few hours. Also big thank you to Gail who was my 1st nurse after surgery and took really great care of me.
