Optimist Park

Don't bother paying to rent the pavilion. I thought someone told me via phone that they try to clean a bit before events. When we arrived the tables were very dirty. But, the main issue we encountered was other people using the pavilion. There is no way for people to know it's reserved. At first, people were just sitting at tables or placing their belongings on the tables, but later another group began setting up another birthday party. It was very uncomfortable to have to tell other people to move because I paid to rent the pavilion. I didn't want to spoil the other child's day, so I didn't make a fuss about the other party. It was my understanding that the benefit of paying to rent a pavilion was not having to worry about whether or not the pavilion would be available when you wanted to use it. That was not the case at all. I shouldn't have to argue with people to use the pavilion that I paid for.

Love this park. The play ground is adult friendly. Youngins can play and you can too!! And my dog LOVES the slide.

What a great little playground thats kept up, colorful, spread out with lots of shaded areas to sit under, benches for parents, and 16 swings! Better than most places in Huntsville.
