    First, I want to give a shout out to Robby for being able to fix our problem. He was also very nice, and he's the reason this is a 2 star review and not a 1 star review. A shower cartridge needed to be replaced and one company said they would replace it for $248, but when they tried to remove it, they couldn't get it off. They said they'd need to tear into the wall and replace the whole valve. Well, not wanting to go that route, I called this company, NAP, for a second opinion because I met the owner, or one of the owners, at an event a year ago and thought I'd give them a try. They sent a guy out who, with some elbow grease, was able to get the shower cartridge out. I had to leave at a certain time, so I was unable to wait for him to check to see if it worked and give me a bill. I thanked him, told him I was going to give him a great review, and then asked him to send me the bill when he was done. When I opened the emailed invoice, it was $425. I've had cartridges replaced before, but I was never charged more than $200 or $250, and even that is a lot of money. I texted Robby and said I felt it was too high and asked why did it cost so much. He said "it's def not high the part itself is almost 200" he later said he didn't know the exact price and said it was over 100 and he was sorry I feel this way. I do believe he is sorry I feel this way, but I wanted to call and talk to a manager or someone else who could better help me understand the high cost. I have called this company twice now and left a message both times asking if I could talk to someone about the invoice. A woman called me right back after the second time I called, but she said she didn't listen to my message, so she asked me why I was calling. I told her and then she said she would try to figure that out for me and call me back. It's been over 24 hours and I have not heard back. I'm a reasonable person with a reasonable concern and this company isn't addressing it. It's definitely on me for not asking up front how much I was going to be charged. It's definitely on them to be willing to listen and provide a response if someone wants to address their bill. Follow up - I called the owner. He admitted I was overcharged and that his staff forgot to tell him I called, but since I already paid my bill, he conveniently can't give me any money back. He said he could give me a credit, but really, who wants to reuse a company after being overcharged for its service? So, I reduced this from 2 stars and gave it the 1 star. What kind of man admits to overcharging and then doesn't do the right thing? I asked him if he remembered meeting me, to which he said yes. Apparently meeting someone and making a good impression doesn't mean anything like it used to. Would've been nice to add another star instead of taking one away after the phone call. Careful people, you are the only one looking out for you.

This is Johnny Bell and I own NAPlumbing. I was not in the office yesterday. According to our system the work was performed on 2-29-24 and the bill is still outstanding. Some of those cartridges are pretty high but I don’t know what brand you have. My personal cell number is (256)763-4371. Give me a call and let’s talk about what happened at your home. Robby is brand new to NAP. He came to our team highly recommended but he might have gotten the pricing wrong.UPDATE****Again Johnny Bell here:Today after 1 month of no calls Mendy did in fact call me. Trying to cash in on something for nothing. She used her 2 star review as a bartering chip to get a full refund. Another company went over to her house before us and told her she needed a new $750 shower valve plus the costs of the tile and Sheetrock repairs. Robbie worked tirelessly to save her thousands of dollars. It’s rather convenient I think that she saw the $39 refund I granted yesterday to another customer after his complaint of paying for an inspection without an estimate for repairs first. Clay and I talked it out here on Google in front of everyone and yeah Mendy saw it. Mendy peek paid in full after my original rebuke to her 2 star review. The 2 star review stayed. Today out of nowhere she wanted a refund for a 5 star review. We at NAP have already been using Mendy Peek’s Google review as an example in our weekly team building/lunch and learns before today. The learning experience I learned and am now teaching my team thanks to Mendy is this “Not everyone you meet at a networking event is a good person. Not everyone you meet in life is a genuine person either.” To anyone reading this review I’ll tell you all the same thing I tell my team. It’s only a mistake if you don’t learn from it. Remember toxic people who can’t be made happy are out there and they have just as much access to Google as the rest of us. If they go after us on Google like she did do what I did. Take screenshots of what she originally wrote and bring it immediately to your boss in the weekly meeting. Or if it’s just another toxic person you meet in life that gets off on offending you…. Pull a Taylor swift and shake it off right there in front of everybody even if it’s on Google!!
