We have a membership and normally have a pleasant experience when we attend. Today was different. It was not crowded at all so we were excited to take our 5 year old and enjoy playing with him. This did not happen because employees followed us and many other families around and literally cleaned up as my child and others played. At one point an employee turned off the light table my child was playing at and took apart his creation while he was still playing. We were the only family in the area so it was not like we were making a mess or causing others to wait. I had to verbally tell the lady to stop cleaning up my child's creation. This happened again in the play cafe. As soon as a table would be set up with food and dishes to play at it would be picked up and put back on shelves. Another family playing at the giant lego blocks had to tell a different employee that their children were actively building with those toys - again no one was waiting a turn. The employee stood there until the family picked up their children and walked away. The opposite seemed to happen in Biscuits Backyard as the toddlers were hitting each other with fishing poles and scooping water out of the bin and throwing it at people passing by with no caregivers or employees to be found. I am not sure if these employees were recently reprimanded for not cleaning as it was truly overkill and rude but regardless families should have been listened to when they expressed that play was still happening. We all appreciate a clean and welcoming environment for play but it was very sad to hear my child say that the ladies did not want them playing with their toys or that he needed to work faster before they came to take apart his work.
