Hi Mary,We are so sorry for the confusion and bad experience. You are totally right that our website wording for walk-ins needs to be updated. We will be fixing it today! Currently it states “there is a non-reservation/walk-in option of tea and cookies $15 Tuesday-Fridays”. Our “Afternoon Tea” service is by reservation only. We talked to our staff and the server who spoke to you, and we believe there was a miscommunication. We have three hour and half tea times: 11-12:30, 1-2:30, 3-4:30. We close for thirty minutes between each service to completely reset for the next tea time. It wasn’t that we needed you to leave before everyone else, it was that our current service you visited would be ending before you had ample time to enjoy your tea (everyone leaves at 2:30).  We are terribly sorry that this was misconstrued. Our server was able to make a reservation for you at the following 3pm tea time where you would have the full hour and half, but we understand how feeling uncomfortable can make a confusing situation worse. We truly hope that you will give us another chance to show you that your business is desired. We are a new (1 year old) business and still trying to figure out the ins and outs of everything. Your feedback is appreciated and helpful. We strive to create an uplifting and beautiful environment, and we are sorry that it fell short for your first visit.
