Really amazing work and got an incredible number for everything that happened. I could barely tolerate the limited interaction that I had with insurance, so having F&V in my corner really relieved me of that stress. Their staff are very communicative and knowledgeable, which is so reassuring in these settlements/court cases. Call these people first if you're ever seriously hurt.

I cannot recommend Farnsworth & Vance highly enough! After a stressful car accident, I turned to them for legal assistance, and I am so grateful that I did. From the initial consultation to the resolution of my case, their team demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and genuine care for my well-being. Lydia did a wonderful job keeping me apprised of any and all updates throughout the process while the team fought tirelessly on my behalf to secure the compensation I deserved, alleviating the financial burden of medical expenses and vehicle repairs. Thanks to Farnsworth & Vance, I was able to focus on my recovery with peace of mind, knowing that my legal matters were in capable hands. I retained Jeff in early 2023 for a medical malpractice case. I would rate my dealings with F&V at 4.5 stars communication could have been better at times, but no major complaints. This two-star review (which only deserves one star) is for the broken process and my overall experience as a client. It is for the inept medical expert hired by F&V. It is for the $3,000 non-refundable medical records review fee which produced a report of the lowest effort and quality. The medical expert hired by F&V is a doctor from Indiana who claims to have four decades of experience and advertises professional expert witness services online. Going into the process, I understood that a medical records review was just that a third party evaluation of my file without any input from myself or F&V. What I did not understand is that there is no quality control built into the review process and no standards for deliverables. I find the low quality of this review particularly offensive and unacceptable because I have been a technical document reviewer for more than a decade. For a non-refundable $3,000 fee, I received four pages of text in a Microsoft Word file (shorter than the 7-page contract for the experts services). The file that was provided to me appeared to be a draft as it was fully editable, not locked, not complete, and not finalized. The list of files and documents reviewed by the expert was not in chronological order. The doctor from Indiana did not sign the document. No letterhead, either. My name was spelled wrong on the file that was transmitted to me. Even more shocking than the editorial issues was the outrageously poor-quality review itself. Going into this process, I had no doubt that an expert reviewer would notice the discrepancies between my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd surgery reports, the latter two of which included photos. The experts draft report focused solely on the documented hardware that was supposed to be installed and made no mention of the undocumented and unnecessary hardware - even though photos of both were provided. It is clear that the medical expert completely confused the two. This reviewer did not notice that the broken hardware, reported to have been removed during the 2nd surgery, was photographed fully intact during the 3rd surgery. The reviewer focused on the improper installation of the documented hardware rather than questioning where the undocumented and broken hardware (the source of my misery) came from. Multiple statements in my medical file were taken out of context - or fully ignored - such that elements of the draft document are not even accurate. An astute and detail-oriented reviewer would have noticed other inconsistencies. For example, my original surgeon made multiple false statements, such as reporting that I had undergone pre-surgery physical therapy and post-surgery deep tissue massage (I did not do either). This reviewer did not notice or did not care that documentation for these therapies was not provided. Jeff agreed with me (in writing) that the "report" is garbage and that he will never use this expert again. But for me and my crappy $3,000 draft document? Nothing more can be done. My choices? a) Pony up another $3,000 to $5,000 and hope that F&V has a competent reviewer in their back pocket who can review my file in a rush OR b) withdraw and move on. I opted for the latter. In summary, the lack of attention to detail for an expert with an alleged four decades of experience is astounding. I am out $3,000 and do not even have a thoroughly-reviewed, accurate, complete, professional-looking, signed report to show for it. As a last little dash of salt in the wound, (and despite being assured by F&V that we had plenty of time), the experts draft report was not provided until AFTER the statute of limitations had run out - and a full 80 days after the "expert" received my file. The only way to preserve my claim was for F&V to file suit without the report. For the rest of my life, this withdrawn lawsuit will show up with my name on Court View.
