They were sold to Eklutna sand and gravel in 2019. No longer Rock Alaska and no longer the wonderful people who worked and owned it.

We first went up to Rock Alaska , maybe 12 years ago. They are very helpful, patient with hand pickers , like we were! They loaded a couple of larger rocks into our 1ton pick -up. My husband, high school age son, and I , built a Rock garden in front of our home and then... One at our church- Cepheus' ( Peter -The Cornerstone/Rock of the Christian Church) Garden . The center stone, which really was a 4 man rock, split nicely, when they scooted it out of the truck bed! So, last year( 2016) I decided we needed to make ours simpler and I somehow found Michael Hoffman LLC ( Palmer ) , to bring us some BIG rocks, and we could not finish the job this year, so Michael came back, to complete the installation! Between Monty at the quarry and Michael to deliver and install, it would be fun now at 65 to keep on building gardens! The rock is beautiful, greens, maroons, creams, so unique! When we went up to this bit of Heaven, we could see the open face of the mountain and the equipment to pick up the rock after it was blasted, looked like toys! Very interesting!! Plus they have pink river rock, from a river up north! Highly recommend doing business with Alaska Rock Quarry!
