        This is the last independently owned fish company in Southeast Alaska. American owned and run, Ekuk fishery is a sustainably operated salmon fishery in business for many years that provides a yearly income for the several hundred Inuit families who fish in the Ekuk community plus several hundred other crew and workers who work to keep the operation viable. Many workers come back year after year to Ekuk for the salmon season. The wild caught sockeye salmon are shipped and sold worldwide and are known for the exceptional quality and flavor. I recommend this company not only from an employee perspective, but also as a consumer
