        Great little hike. Getting to trailhead is confusing though: maps may want to take you behind the hospital or around on Channel Vista drive, but don't do that. You actually pull off of Egan sharply after the embankment wall going northbound, kinda hard to spot the "exit". The signage says that its a 5 or 6 hour round trip but I made it up in in 1.5hrs, down in 45mins at a moderate pace. The last bit is quite steep and slippery if it rains. The first 2/3rds of this hike is a gravel road, next time I'll bring my bike for that section. There's a nice tent / picnic platform at the top and a great view.
