This review is for my experience with Cathryn Rodkey. I called the Salon and asked to book an appointment with whichever hairstylist was the most experienced and skilled with Balayage. The Balayage that I want done requires a lot of skill to accomplish and I am aware of this. The woman who answered the phone, who I now know was Cathryn, eagerly offered to schedule me before listening to what I wanted done. I tried to explain what I was wanting specifically and the current condition of my hair. She seemed in a rush to get off the phone. I went ahead and booked the appointment thinking she was just busy with another client. An hour before said booked appointment, Cathryn calls me and asked to reschedule. She said she had a killer migraine that day. I understand that life happens so I went ahead and rescheduled for the following week. I also took the opportunity to again discuss what I was wanting done to my hair specifically. She said it wasn't a problem, she could do it. I show up to the salon for my scheduled appointment and Cathryn is not even in the building. Yes, there was traffic outside but I still managed to make it on time. She showed up 10 minutes late saying that she just had to have Taco Bell. I then sit in the chair and show her the pictures of what I would like done as well as photos from previous attempts that were not what I wanted. She then tells me that she does not have the product that she would need to do this hairstyle in the salon. RED FLAG, what stylist is not prepared for an appointment that they discussed in depth over the phone prior to the appointment? She said it was at home and she had noticed she was out but hadn't brought it in. She asked if she could reschedule me for tomorrow (A Saturday) as she had plenty of time to do it then. HUGE RED FLAG, a hairstylist with an unbooked Saturday. I told her that she had already rescheduled this appointment once. She seemed as though that was news to her. Another RED FLAG, she didn't even bother to make note that she had already rescheduled a new client's appointment once before. At this point I told her that I would not reschedule a third time and left. The Salon as a whole seemed very nice and clean but I believe that employees represent the business and if that is the type of customer service this business chooses to represent them, then I will take my business elsewhere.
