Not bad but not good. Food was "just there". Might be the only Mexican food place that didn't provide chips & salsa while waiting for lunch. Service was decent, friendly. Overall, left saying "well, we can say we've been".

I really wanted to like this place. I understand things can happen, so I've tried this place now three times over the last year. The atmosphere is great, and the bathrooms were a surprise but cool. Would have liked a little more central seating, but we were shoved into the corner booth. In fairness, I love sugar skulls, so decor here makes me happy. The food was good, and it was definitely a higher end of price spectrum. If you've eaten at the Mexicano, it's very similar priced. Tableside guacamole was good, and they can customize it to your liking. Tried their new brunch menu, and it was also delicious, and Tres Leche French toast was a hit with the table. Service. This is where they continue to fall short, and I've tried multiple times to see if it was a fluke. This last time around was sadly no different. When we asked a question about the menu. The server said, "I dont know," and then just looked at us. After a pause and no "let me check," she asked, "Did you want to order anything else?" And just moved on. There was never a smile. Service time to refill drinks was awful and required several reminders. The fastest service of the night was the delivery of the check.
