        What a hidden gem, been a long time since I've seen dedicated volunteers and staff put their heart and soul into demostrating gold extraction from ore. Everyone was opened to questions and showed a real love of their job.

      Thank you for braving the elements, Rhonda, to visit our museum. Hopefully the inclement weather gave you some extra time with my favorite exhibit, the collection of pre-history pots. And now we have the exhibit of contemporary Native American pottery in the History Wing---I love the juxtaposition! I'm fascinated that certain motifs continue through the centuries. We do have wonderful outdoor exhibits---you might want to come when we run the ARIZONA GOLD MINING EXPERIENCE--the Golden Reef Stamp Mill and the tramway run, there's a blacksmithing demonstration and gold-panning. Great way to learn and have fun! We appreciate your visit 5 STAR review!

      Hi Scott MacFarlane! So sorry you didn't get to tour our inside exhibits, but the Golden Reef Stamp Mill and our outdoor collection of mining and ranching equipment is pretty dang cool. If you are from the area or still in the area, try to come to our Arizona Gold Mining Experience. It's a wonderful program we put on twice a month and you get to see the stamp mill in action!
